Remember Sametime's 7.5.x's inefficient HTML algorithm?

Category

Remember this, well Nathan Freeman just pinged me and asked if it was fixed in Sametime 8.0.  I had Nathan log in, we had a little chat and I am pleased report that indeed IBM has fixed this in Sametime 8.  So now Sametime 8 uses less network bandwidth than Sametime 7.5.x

I think the extra close/open on the italics was because I really did Ctrl+I

Gravatar Image2 - in the area of 100 MB/s symmetrical dsl connections for residential users, do we really care about a few extra strings ? Time to trade-up your 56K Modem my friend.

Gravatar Image3 - @2 When you pay a 3rd party by the byte to archive your corporate IM chats then yes you care Emoticon

Such a typical smug French answer, you need the fast connections cos you your transport is always on strike Emoticon

See you at church Joel Emoticon

Gravatar Image4 - @2 - I know you're joking, but honestly, what I like is the process of a nasty flaw in the software getting fixed, not necessarily the fix itself. There wasn't a lot of time between the release of 7.5.1 and 8.0, and someone considered this matter important.

I think that's a kind of customer responsiveness we wouldn't have seen 5 years ago.

Gravatar Image5 - thank you for posting this!
